A twist on a traditional vase style, the Pill vase comes in two sizes allowing for the perfect symbiosis when both sizes of this style form a group setting

3D Printed Vases come with two pieces.  The 3D printed outer sleeve, or “technology-inspired functional art” piece, and the upcycled bottle insert which holds the water and creates the weight for stability.

Approx Dia 140 x H 200mm

Product Information

The upcycled bottle insert has been crafted from a wine, water or spirit bottle, holds water when required, and creates the extra weight for stability.

The outer sleeve is crafted from PLA which is a biodegradable material made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. PLA does not contain Petroleum and therefore is water resistant, not waterproof and while not super fragile, it may crack or snap if dropped or you press too hard in the wrong spot.

We do not mass produce our outer sleeves so at the time of ordering your vase may yet to be finalised.

A few bits you might find interesting

What material is the 3D printed outer sleeve made from?

PLA

What is PLA?

A Polylactic Acid - a polymer made from renewable resources. Contrary to other thermoplastics, which are petroleum based, some of the raw materials for PLA’s production include cornstarch, tapioca roots, or sugarcane.

Why do we use PLA?

We believe PLA to be the most sustainable friendly 3D printing material available to us at this time.

Will we change from PLA?

In line with Upcycled Glassware’s Promise to You we will seek the most eco-friendly products available to us to bring you mindful consumer products. Our aim is to always look to new and innovative ways to develop pieces which you are proud to bring into your spaces knowing together we have worked toward a solution path forward.

While not delicate to touch, 3D Printed Vases are crushable

Like most pliable material, the 3D Printed Vase has points of weakness, which when pressure is applied to, can cause breakage or crushing. We suggest you read the care instructions on this website, some of which include:

Picking Up & Carrying
* Carry with both hands
* Don't squeeze the neck of the vase
* Don't pick up just by the top or rim of the vase outer sleeve.
